Treasurer’s Report
Budget for 2020 will be presented at the next meeting.
Membership
There are currently 33 businesses with active membership status for 2020.
TVBRC
Some discussion of our role/link to the visitors center was had. More light will be shed on this next meeting.
RV Park
The park has been closed for the season, with plans to re-open in April or May.
Guest speakers
Steve Mccullough spoke briefly about the upcoming school levy, and handed out informational materials. The school has finished phase 1 of their plan, which had to do with HVAC updates. Phase 2, which focuses on safety and security, will hopefully be finished by June. The proposed levy gets voted on in February.
John McReynolds informed us of a new clinic which is now open in North Valley Hospital. Currently, it is open from 8:30 to 4:00, Monday through Friday. It is staffed with Nurse Practitioners and Physicians assistants, with some Physicians considering positions in the clinic over the next few months.
Old business
Winterfest went well, the chamber gave away 250 of the 300 candy canes purchased.
The Lions club had a booth at winterfest, and made around 145.00 selling baked goods and cider.
New business
Regarding the upcoming Banquet: Locations for ticket sales were discussed. The businesses offering to take this role are: The yellow porch boutique; OK Chevrolet; Tonasket Public Library. A committee was formed, consisting of Marylou, Angie, Patty, and Kris. The theme of the event will be “Back to the future.”
The board voted to dismiss board member Lee Orr, citing poor attendance and an inability to get in contact with Lee. Marilee Nielson was voted into the position.
The upcoming openings for business of the month were discussed, and so decided:

The board briefly considered the following question “Should the ability to be chosen business of the month be contingent on active membership?” With the majority vote of yes, no changes were made.
The Tonasket food bank gave out over 150 Turkeys, with a total of 230 thanksgiving dinners given out to families, a statistic that distinguishes them from food banks in surrounding areas.
A church (catholic?) is raffling off a very nice flannel twin quilt on Sunday the 15th, for 5.00 per ticket.
OVOC is having a Holiday concert Saturday, the 14th at 2pm, at the Omak PAC.
Thursday (Dec 12), from 12:00-3:00, the American Legion celebrates the 100 year anniversary of their post, with steak dinner for 15.00
